Freestyle Moves
Tumblr media
Fine moves from a kick scooterist around the Marina Bay. Photo credit: Jonathan Chua.
We stumbled upon these folks as we passed by and were blessed with some great moves from this and her fellow riders that I wish we had better gear with us on that day. Instead, I had to be content with a manual focus lens. For this shot, motion blur at the shutter speed of 1/60 second wasn’t great and so had need to be enhanced in post.

what's your dominant hand and which leg do you use to push a scooter/skateboard
push/kick = the leg that goes on the ground and makes you go forward, as opposed to the leg that stays still on the board/deck
i'm asking which is more comfortable, switching for a brief time bc you got tired doesn't count
if you've never been on one, your best guess is fine<3

Heart: Fight me!
Mind: Ha, look at your size! What are you gonna do, kick my ankle?
{Later}
Whole: Why is Mind lying on the ground?
Soul: Heart kicked him really hard on the ankle.

When you might have popped your arm out of its socket a few months ago but you didn’t realize that a partial dislocation was a thing so, since you could move your arm and popped it right back into place, you just thought it was nothing, but now when you lift stuff a certain way or lay on that side in bed or move it a certain way while swimming it does that thing again and you’re like “would seeing a doctor about that make any difference if you probably already healed wrong? Can they even do anything at this point?”

When I was 8 I used to daydream about skateboarding and now I'm 31 I'm still daydreaming about doing it! It's not going to be as fun as I think it will be! I'm clumsy and terrible at balancing and I don't want to hurt anyone by crashing into them! I'd have to buy dorky & expensive protective equipment! The noise would probably stress me out! The routes I'd use probably aren't suited to boarding and I'll fall and scuff holes in my work clothes! Apart from those things, it seems like fun and Smyths sells longboards for just £20. I come back once a year to stare at the product page.
